Florida Hospital Is Kicking off the 2015 Season as the Exclusive Health Care Provider for the Tampa Bay Storm

Florida Hospital is excited to continue its partnership with the Tampa Bay Storm as the team’s exclusive health care provider for the 2015 and 2016 season. As the Storm’s exclusive health care provider, Florida Hospital provides medical care and an athletic trainer for the team throughout each season. Tonight, the Tampa Bay Storm will kick off its season against the Cleveland Gladiators at Amalie Arena; the game starts at 7:30pm.

“This partnership is extremely important to us as it gives us the opportunity, to provide health and wellness education to the community and extend our efforts to local high school athletes. Together, we are committed to the health and wellness of the Storm players and the Tampa Bay community, both on and off the field,” said Mike Schultz, Florida Hospital West Florida Region, President and CEO.

During the season, Florida Hospital will host a local high school football athletes training session for 12 lucky players with Tampa Bay Storm President, Derrick Brooks, a former Tampa Bay Buccaneers team captain and linebacker who was recently inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame. The contest includes high school athletes who received a physical from Dr. Jonathan Phillips, the official team physician of the Tampa Bay Storm and the Director of Sports Medicine at Florida Hospital Wesley Chapel. The winners will also receive a Tampa Bay Storm prize pack that includes tickets to a regular season Storm game in the executive suite. In addition, one grand prize contestant winner will also receive a tour of the facility prior to the Storm game during the season as well as a Tampa Bay Storm jersey.
