The Playstation 3 is a next generation game console, like its brothers in competition, the Xbox 360 and the Nintendo Wii. With such games as Super Street Fighter IV, Demon’s Souls, Bayonetta, and even Metal Gear Solid 4; making the PS3 a force to be reckoned with in the gaming market; Sony may not be able to snap up the biggest game titles like Microsoft, but it more than makes up for it by tenaciously catering to it’s gamer fan base, and constantly releasing titles that gamers are sure to play and love, not something that looks shiny and clean, but plays like a train wreck in slow motion.
One of the greatest things about the PS3 is that it’s absolutely free to connect to the Playstation Network, unlike Xbox Live! You can sign up for the Playstation Network Store, which offers exclusive releases for members to buy; and once again, signing up costs you absolutely nothing.
To purchase the games, add-ons, and the other media that the Playstation Network Store offers, you’ll need to have cheap PSN Cards – sometimes referred to as “Tickets”. These cards are used to download multimedia from the PSN Store, classic Playstation One games, PSN releases, and a slew of other goodies as well – all without the hassle of ever using your credit card. Unlike Microsoft and Nintendo, who use a points system that you can buy into, the purchases made on the PSN Store use real currency; meaning that a card purchased in one country cannot be used in another.
While many of us will still go to our local retailer and buy these cards, it’s possible to obtain cheap PSN cards from online vendors as well. Offering the same prices as the chain retailers, these vendors provide a much-needed service without tacking on the hassle of having to drive to the store and deal with all of the other stuff the retailer is trying to load on you. We all know how hard it is to go into a store and just buy the one thing you came for.
The good thing about online vendors is that you never have to leave the house, and you’re ready to go in a matter of minutes! After the transaction is processed, the code, which was written on the card, is sent to you, and from there you just log into the PSN and redeem your code!
